Now that the "Sex and the City" movie is a bonafide hit, the soundtrack is climbing the charts. Upon listening to it several times, however, we were disappointed by the downtempo, folksy ditties that make up the majority of the CD.
Where, we wondered, are the classic and contemporary dance music tracks that the show was famous for? Rather than ponder the issue, we put together our own collection of song inspired by Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte.
"Strut" by Sheen Easton, "Into the Nightlife" by Cyndi Lauper, Kylie Minogue's latest single "The One", and Amber's "Above the Clouds" from the TV Series are just a few of the tracks that we think fit the spirit of the show and movie perfectly. Have a listen:

Well I just love love love the SATC soundtrack!! My favorite song is 'All this beauty' by The Weepies! I found it on this cool ecard if anyone wants to listen! http://www.nettwerk.com/player/theweepies/hideaway/
It's awesome!!
This is a great soundtrack, offering something for everyone. I agree with the post above, "All This Beauty" by The Weepies is an amazing song and a must have!
I'm not crazy about the remakes, "how deep is your love"...what can I say, I love the Bee Gees...enough said.
This soundtrack will compliment any mood and give you reason to pull it out time and time again.
